30-day UAW evolution for sustainable trend analysis

The 30-day evolution of Unique Active Wallets (UAW) on DappRadar allows us to identify sustainable trends in protocol adoption. This longer period filters out short-term noise and reveals the true dynamics of usage. Unlike the number of wallets that make transactions on the token, it directly measures the usage by users of the decentralized application (dApp) itself.

  • Steady increase over 30 days: this is a strong sign of gradual and solid adoption. More than just a temporary spike, it indicates that the protocol is attracting and retaining new users. This signal is often correlated with sustainable valuation over time.
  • Steady decline over 30 days: this is more concerning than a one-off drop. It generally reflects a lasting disengagement of users, linked to: a loss of attractiveness compared to better-positioned competitors, a disappointing user experience that undermines its network effect, a reduction in incentives (yield, rewards, airdrops), or internal problems (security, governance, bugs).
  • Sharp increase in UAW over 30 days: this may indicate that the protocol is rapidly gaining market share. However, it is important to verify that this increase is organic (real adoption) and not solely linked to temporary incentives.
  • Sharp decline in UAW over 30 days: this is a critical indicator. Such a trend may signal a lasting loss of confidence and an exodus of users to other projects with the same narrative.

A divergence between price/TVL/UAW over 30 days is very informative: for example, a rising price but falling UAW may signal a fragile speculative bubble.

Conversely, a steady increase in UAW over a month, even without an immediate price increase, is often an excellent early indicator, because if users really like the dApp, they will be more inclined to continue investing in the token.
